The Potier Foundation, Inc.

Empowering Young Men through Education

Mission

The Potier Foundation, Inc. is devoted to bettering the academic opportunities and personal development of first generation, low income, males of color between the ages of 11-18 years of age.

We are dedicated to helping them graduate from high school and go onto post secondary education.  It is our belief that access to quality education and college access resources can lead to the  development of young men who will then make a positive contribution to his immediate family, community, and society as a whole.

Purpose

The Potier Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to fostering college preparation, leadership development, civic engagement and successful life planning for young males of color. We are devoted to aiding adolescent males of color "achieve" their goal of obtaining a college education, so that they can positively impact:  themselves, their family, and the greater community.

We realize that every day, young men of color are continually seeing negative images of themselves in the media. These images have led to emulating violence and a sense of despair within communities of color across the country. As a result gangs, violence and death have pervaded inner city communities.  Our goal is t is to use resources, experience and talent to counteract negative barriers that have served to limit young men’s potential for success and greatness

Workshops

We provide workshops for young, men of color, throughout Atlanta and various parts of GA. If you would like to set-up a workshop at a church, school, or community center feel free to contact us at potierfoundation@yahoo.com. In addition, we also provide male students with personal college counseling session as well.  If you have a son, nephew, or brother that needs guidance - send them our way!
