SAT AND ACT - NATIONAL AVERAGE

SAT ranges from 600 combining all three sections, or 2400 on the very highest end of  each section (Critical Reading, Writing, and Mathematics). In each section, a student could get as low as 200 or a perfect score of 800 points.

SAT average overall score in the United States for 2008 was:

50% of test-takers score below a 20 and vice versa.
